Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant General Manager. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality and success of our daily operations, including staffing, pool operations, cash management, customer service, retail, and vending departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Direct and control daily operations to ensure the school is running according to our standard operating procedures.
  • Staff Management: Manage staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Train and oversee aquatics department staff to provide superior swim instruction to our students.
  • Sales and Marketing: Provide sales and marketing training to qualified sales staff.
  • Private Party Operations: Train and oversee private party staff to ensure our standard operating procedures are being maintained.
  • Pool Operations: Gain knowledge and experience in our pool operations to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
  • Emergency Action Plan: Direct and oversee the implementation of our Emergency Action Plan and train all staff on our EAP.
  • Professional Development: Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience: Two or more years of management experience preferred; two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.
  • Certifications: Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and first aid certification required; shallow water attendant highly recommended.
Work Environment

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
