Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surety Bond Manager to join our team at Marsh McLennan. As a Surety Bond Manager, you will be responsible for assisting our production team in the production and service of new and existing accounts.

You will support a growing book of business consisting of mostly small to middle market accounts. This is a great opportunity for career growth with exposure to large, national accounts.

As a Surety Bond Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting surety bond producers, account executives, and senior account managers in day-to-day operations and client interactions.
  • Maintaining proper communication and building effective relationships with clients and companies.
  • Assisting in gathering and organizing client information for bond requests.
  • Assisting with billing on renewals and handling receivables.
  • Learning to evaluate financial statements to assess client creditworthiness.
  • Aiding in the preparation of documentation for the underwriting process.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of bond requests.
  • Providing administrative support, including maintaining client records and managing correspondence.
  • Assisting in monitoring bond portfolios and preparing status reports.
  • Staying updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and market trends.
  • Having an understanding of surety bond products and services.
  • Participating in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in surety bond management.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of previous surety bond experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, some insurance courses preferred.
  • Proficient in various programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills in prioritizing work, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Results-oriented with a strong client service orientation and proactive in solving client needs with a sense of urgency in all client matters.
  • Ability to work proficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
