- Triage Coordination: Gather and relay critical information to veterinary staff to effectively prioritize and manage emergency cases.
- Appointment Management: Schedule emergency and follow-up appointments, ensuring efficient hospital resources and time use.
- Documentation: Accurately enter client and patient information into the hospital management system and maintain up-to-date records.
- Payment Processing: Handle billing and payment transactions, including processing credit card payments and managing invoices.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients and veterinary staff, ensuring clear and timely communication regarding patient status and care instructions.
- Facility Management: Maintain a clean and organized reception area and assist with light cleaning duties as needed.
- Client Care: Provide emotional support to distressed pet owners, offering empathy and understanding during difficult situations.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
- Experience with emergency services is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and veterinary practice management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.
