Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Maitre d' to lead the front-of-house team and uphold the highest standards of hospitality at Erba - Miami. The ideal candidate will have a passion for guest relations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage the flow of service in a fast-paced fine dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring all guests feel special and appreciated.
  • Oversee reservations and manage seating arrangements to optimize service efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to deliver smooth service.
  • Address guest concerns or special requests in a timely, gracious manner, providing solutions that enhance the overall experience.
  • Lead and mentor the host and front-of-house staff, fostering a culture of excellence and hospitality.
  • Maintain the highest standards of appearance and demeanor for the front-of-house team.
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager, Hospitality Manager, and Chef to ensure alignment on service standards and guest experience goals.
  • Assist with event planning, private dining, and VIP guest accommodations.
  • Stay informed about the restaurant's menu, wine program, and special offerings to provide knowledgeable guidance to guests.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maitre d' or similar leadership role in a fine dining restaurant.
  • Exceptional guest service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
  • A deep knowledge of fine dining service standards and Italian cuisine is a plus.
  • Proficiency with reservation systems (experience with OpenTable or Resy is preferred).
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team to consistently deliver top-tier service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the hospitality industry.
