Job Overview

As the Executive Director of the SAG-AFTRA Dallas-Fort Worth Local, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration, communications, budgeting, governance, organizing, and member outreach for the local. This includes managing the collective bargaining agreements, negotiating with employers, and providing support to member leadership. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing internal and external policies, procedures, and programs to further the mission of SAG-AFTRA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the administration, communications, budgeting, governance, organizing, and member outreach for the local.
  • Administer and enforce the Union's collective bargaining agreements.
  • Assist in national organizing campaigns and negotiations of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Administer Local Board meetings and provide clear and concise reporting to the Local Boards and leadership.
  • Provide support and guidance to member leadership and develop and carry out internal and external policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships and work collaboratively with all departments to further SAG-AFTRA's strategic mission.
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure successful operations and activities.


Qualifications

  • Advanced level of management experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Negotiation and/or collective bargaining skills and knowledge of federal and state labor law.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to use sound judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters.
  • Able to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple assignments and projects.
  • Proficient in PC applications and Internet-based systems.
