MRI Technologist Job Description

AMN Healthcare Allied is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join their team in TEXARKANA, Texas. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art computerized MRI diagnostic imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI exams and procedures, including complex procedures, utilizing MRI equipment and pressurized injection equipment.
  • Assist Radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures using MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Program the computer to ensure completion of exams and store scan data correctly on PACS for future reference.
  • Coordinate and prioritize procedures during the workday to maintain high patient care and continuity.
  • Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered in the billing system.

Requirements:

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT preferred.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting highly preferred.
