District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Health Wellness Home, Store Operations, and Perishables

Supervises:
Staff Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Intake/Outbound Coordinator

Primary Duties:
- Cultivate a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and flexibility.
- Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department.
- Drive improvements in pharmacy sales, profitability, patient volume, and professional reputation by ensuring accurate prescription fulfillment and exceptional customer service.
- Mentor pharmacy staff through effective training, performance evaluations, and constructive feedback to enhance morale and loyalty.
- Manage referrals from Hy-Vee retail pharmacy locations and coordinate with pharmacists as necessary.
- Develop and implement sales and promotional strategies for the pharmacy department.
- Recruit and hire pharmacy personnel while managing payroll and scheduling to optimize labor costs.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure adherence to security protocols.
- Facilitate training for pharmacy staff on point-of-sale systems and assist with any related inquiries.
- Monitor compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations and ensure proper record-keeping.
- Prepare and submit required reports to management and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain department cleanliness and organization while addressing customer concerns effectively.
- Engage with professional pharmacy organizations to represent the company.
- Determine product pricing to ensure departmental profitability.
- Educate customers on over-the-counter medications and products.

Secondary Responsibilities:
- Oversee nursing home accounts and medication delivery.
- Assist in various store areas as needed.
- Perform additional job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities, particularly in healthcare settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy software applications and systems.
- Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy School, preferably with a Pharm. D. degree.
- Current Board of Pharmacy license.
- Relevant experience in pharmacy operations and technology.

Supervisory Role:
- Responsible for instructing, reviewing, and assigning work to pharmacy staff.
- Authority to recommend employee promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.

Work Environment:
The role is primarily conducted in a pharmacy setting, involving frequent standing and walking.

Equipment Utilized:
- PC with pharmacy software, pharmacy balance, scanner, calculator, telephone, fax, and copier.
