Veterinary Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Veterinarian to join our team at the Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon Inc. As a key member of our emergency department, you will provide timely and comprehensive medical care to patients, including conducting physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and administering necessary treatments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care to patients in the emergency department
- Conduct physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests
- Administer necessary treatments and maintain accurate records
- Communicate effectively with clients and referring veterinarians
- Participate in promoting the practice and contributing to the educational development of interns and externs
- Lead and coach a team of CVTs and Assistants in the emergency service
- Help shape the hospital culture and lead by example in day-to-day actions and conversations
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or college
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Oregon
- Prior experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or high volume general practice preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
