Psychiatrist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Centurion Health, a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities and community settings.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients, working under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient and reception services to male correctional institutions
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for patients
  • Work under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director
  • Provide clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team
  • Meet the qualifications and requirements outlined below
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Documentation of education as MD or DO and completion of accredited residency program required
  • Current license to practice medicine in Florida required
  • Board Certification for certification in Psychiatry preferred
  • Must have an active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificate
  • Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification
  • Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as psychiatrist in a clinical setting preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in an clinical setting
  • Experience in correctional mental health care or locked unit preferred
