About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our veterans. As a psychiatrist with the VA, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to those who have served our country.
Responsibilities- Perform psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a diverse population of veterans
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to our veterans
- Participate in supervision and teaching in support of the psychiatry residency training program
We offer a competitive salary range of $252-260K, as well as a range of benefits, including:
- Annual performance bonus up to an additional 7.5% of pay
- Guaranteed salary increases
- 8am-4:30pm, M-F schedule
- $1,000 per year stipend for reimbursement of CME expenses
- Liability protection with tail coverage provided
- 26 Days paid vacation
- 13 Days paid sick time per year with unlimited carry over
- 11 Federal holidays with pay
- Possible 5 days paid absence to attend CME
