CSL Plasma is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Professional to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for evaluating donor suitability, administering immunizations, and providing emergency medical care to donors and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct confidential interviews with donors to assess suitability for plasma donation
- Administer immunizations and provide emergency medical care as needed
- Perform medical history reviews and health assessments on donors
- Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results
- Explain informed consent to applicant donors and obtain signature
- Handle medical emergencies at the center and elevate situations to the Center Physician or local medical service providers as required
- Review test results and determine continued donor suitability
- Manage employee hepatitis B and influenza immunization program
- Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system
- Maintain a clean and efficient work environment and promote safety in all actions
- Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic medical training program
- Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred
