Required Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in education, including a Learning and Behavioral Specialist 1 (LBS1) licensure or endorsement from an accredited institution.

Position Summary: Under the guidance of the Director and Assistant Principals, the Inclusive Education Specialist is responsible for designing and delivering specialized instruction tailored to the unique requirements of students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement evidence-based specialized instruction aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to help students achieve their IEP objectives.
  • Create and manage annual IEP plans for students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish instructional goals and strategies.
  • Oversee the provision of special education services as outlined in each student's IEP.
  • Foster a positive learning environment with a focus on individualized instruction.
  • Act as the primary liaison for parents.
  • Provide guidance and evaluation for educational assistants as needed.
  • Complete all necessary reporting for the school and state.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in education, including LBS1 licensure or endorsement.
