As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to project engineers with design, build-up, assembly, instrumentation, and test execution of customer qualification programs, internal research and development efforts, and experimental evaluation of advanced technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support design of new test apparatus as required
  • Own the setup, instrumentation, assembly, calibration, and specimen preparation of lab test frames
  • Independently run lab tests and perform necessary data checks to ensure data quality
  • Support hardware and software architecture and programming of Data Acquisition Systems
  • Interface with internal and external shops, vendors, and team members, including project engineers, test/machining associates, and facilities maintenance associates
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with test apparatus
  • Coordinate and work closely with teammates to execute lab team objectives
  • Ownership of developing test documentation, including facility, frame build, and data sets
Requirements:
  • High school diploma; an Associate's Degree in a technical field is a plus
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Familiarity with the assembly and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Familiarity with the use of measurement devices and data acquisition
Desired Characteristics:
  • Associate's Degree in a technical field
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Demonstrated success in a cross-functional team environment
  • Experience using and/or programming Labview or other data acquisition systems
