About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. As a key member of our hospital staff, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our technical support team, ensuring the highest quality patient care and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate the workflow on the hospital floor
  • Assist with the interview process for potential new hires
  • Manage technician scheduling and staffing
  • Develop and implement educational programs for technicians
  • Mentor and train technicians to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with department doctors to develop protocols and improve patient care
  • Ensure compliance with VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations
Requirements
  • Licensed veterinary technician with a minimum of five years technical experience and two years supervisory/management experience
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive, friendly attitude
  • Ability to plan, organize, make decisions, and communicate effectively and clearly with fellow team members, clients, and doctors
  • Strong medical skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and high levels of stress
  • Flexibility to work full-time hours, including occasional holidays
