About the Role:

This is a working supervisory position that requires a strong background in veterinary technology and leadership skills. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for directing workflow on the floor, assisting with the interview process for potential new hires, and providing guidance and support to our technical staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Directing workflow on the floor
  • Assisting with the interview process for potential new hires
  • Providing guidance and support to our technical staff
  • Assisting in staffing and coverage where needed
  • Assisting in the educational development of technicians and their skills
  • Assisting in basic protocol and standard procedure training
  • Providing opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
  • Mentoring technicians within the department
Requirements:
  • Licensed veterinary technician with a minimum of five years technical experience, and 2 years supervisory/management experience preferred
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive, friendly attitude
  • Ability to plan, organize, make decisions, and communicate effectively and clearly with fellow team members, clients, and doctors
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at once, and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of changing priorities
  • Must be able to work full-time hours, flexibility a must, including occasional holidays
