Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately receive and accession specimens into the LIMS system
  • Unpack and route specimens to various staging areas
  • Prepare specimens for testing, including centrifugation and labeling
  • Organize work by matching computer orders with specimen labeling and sorting
  • Participate in safety training sessions and maintain a safe working environment
  • Identify and accurately label specimens for distribution to testing areas
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties as needed
  • Organize and maintain lab specimen storage and inventory
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry
  • Medical background or experience with laboratory testing terminology
  • Ability to work productively and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work within a Windows environment
