The Opportunity

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to become part of a dynamic and driven team, tasked with developing a cutting-edge creativity platform that will shape the future of Creative Cloud and Adobe's Digital Media sector. A meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high standards in design, code quality, and efficiency are essential. Your Responsibilities:

As a member of the Developer Experience team, your role will focus on enhancing the speed and scalability of our development efforts by providing user-friendly development environments, robust infrastructure, and collaborating with peers and product managers to deliver a seamless developer experience on a multi-tenant web application platform. These systems are designed to be highly reliable, efficient, and continuously evolve to meet the most pressing development needs while ensuring that all commits adhere to stringent check-in protocols and deployment standards.

You will collaborate with some of the industry's top designers and engineers to integrate with third-party content partners and expand the existing Adobe ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and implementing a dependable Continuous Delivery Pipeline for the development, building, testing, and deployment of desktop, mobile, and service offerings.
  • Maintaining and supporting internal cloud-based automation systems, including infrastructure and environment, build and test tools, automation orchestration, reports, and dashboards.
  • Gathering, refining, and prioritizing requirements from the engineering team.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering team members to incorporate automation tools into daily workflows.
  • Creating tools, dashboards, and related infrastructure to enhance the development experience for our engineers.
  • Working effectively both independently and as part of a fast-paced global development team, ensuring clear, positive, and constructive communication.
  • Promoting the growth of a DevOps culture and mindset within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in build and release infrastructure.
  • Experience in developing software across multiple devices and platforms.
  • Familiarity with automated building and testing processes for desktop, service, and web-delivered software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in administering Linux, Mac, and Windows systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis CI, and GitHub Actions; familiarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is advantageous.
  • Experience with developer productivity and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, and VS Code extensions or plugins.
  • Familiarity with relevant automation technologies including TypeScript/Node, Python, Groovy, Bash, Webpack, RushJS, npm, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum.
