About Our Team

We are a rapidly growing manufacturing company seeking an accomplished financial leader to join our executive team as a Controller. This key role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional financial acumen to lead the accounting and financial operations, driving growth, profitability, and long-term success.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $127,000 DOE + Comprehensive Benefits

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a proven track record of delivering financial results. They will oversee a team responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, billing, and inventory control functions, ensuring seamless financial operations and high-quality financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices and internal guidelines.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal guidelines.
  • Lead the training and development of accounting staff, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate the month-end closing process, including account analysis and reconciliation.
  • Manage the annual budget process, including any necessary adjustments and re-forecasts during the fiscal year.
  • Oversee treasury function, including daily cash management and revolving credit requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis on ecommerce cost of delivery expense.
  • Assist in the annual insurance renewal process to secure optimal insurance coverage.
  • Develop, administer, and monitor policies and operational procedures to ensure robust accounting and internal controls.
  • Identify potential financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support ERP and other accounting software projects.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc analysis and management reporting, as well as other special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience with a manufacturer, currently holding a controller role or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Must come from a manufacturing background.
  • Exceptional professional abilities, including effective communication and organizational skills to manage projects, deadlines, and other benchmarks.
