Job Summary

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Service Technician to join our team. As a Mechanical Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of our equipment on customer premises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission new equipment, ensuring it meets the required specifications and standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Update technical bulletins and documentation, keeping customers informed of the latest developments and enhancements.
  • Prepare visit reports detailing activity and outcomes when spending time on customer sites.
  • Identify opportunities for the sale of machine upgrades and enhancements, driving business growth and revenue.

Requirements

  • A sound knowledge of our products, or those of our competitors, gained through apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a mechanical fitter, production engineer, or similar role in a capital equipment manufacturer or can plant.
  • Ability to work independently, without supervision, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent customer focus, with a strong attention to detail and ability to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
