Compensation Range: $27.10/hour or $32,114 to $52,565/year (based on a standard 40-hour work week and years of experience).

Weekly Hours : Positions are available in flexible, part-time, and full-time formats. Candidates are encouraged to specify their preferences in the application process to facilitate a suitable match.

Position/Location Details: Numerous opportunities exist for Healthcare Assistants at Children's Hospital Colorado, with various locations available. These include multiple campuses. Qualifications:

Healthcare Assistant

EDUCATION – High school diploma or equivalent, along with completion of an accredited Healthcare Assistant program. EXPERIENCE – None required. EQUIVALENCY – One year of experience in a direct healthcare role may substitute for completion of a Healthcare Assistant program. CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR.

Senior Healthcare Assistant

EDUCATION – High school diploma or equivalent, and graduation from an accredited Healthcare Assistant program. EXPERIENCE – Minimum of one year in a direct healthcare role. EQUIVALENCY – An additional year of experience in a direct healthcare role may substitute for graduation from a Healthcare Assistant program. Total experience requirement without graduation from a Healthcare Assistant program is two years in a direct healthcare role. BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR and certification as a Certified Healthcare Assistant, Registered Healthcare Assistant, or equivalent certifications.

Job Highlights:

Healthcare Assistants are essential members of the patient-centered medical team, directly supporting patient care by assisting healthcare providers, collaborating with patients and families in implementing care plans as directed by the Care Team, and promoting patient safety and well-being. Healthcare Assistants are cross-trained to perform both administrative and clinical tasks. Clinical responsibilities may include explaining treatment procedures to patients, instructing patients about medications and special diets, preparing and administering medications, and conducting basic lab tests. Administrative duties may involve updating and filing patient medical records, coding and completing insurance forms, and scheduling appointments.
