About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Pediatrix Medical Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Perform administrative duties such as requesting and updating patient medical records, filing, and preparing correspondence.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required; MA Certification preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in an office-based setting preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
