Position Summary: We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Clerk for our distribution center. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update inventory records using our warehouse management system.
  • Execute daily tasks to uphold effective inventory management practices.
  • Ensure accuracy of bin locations within the computer system.
  • Monitor and track stock movements, including incoming, outgoing, and transfers.
  • Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory items.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Propose improvements for inventory management programs.
  • Conduct searches to locate products within the system as needed.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent inventory discrepancies.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts and adjust systems accordingly.
  • Generate necessary reports and documentation to support accurate inventory counts, including audits and adjustments.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory control is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in varying noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperatures.
  • Must be capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Forklift operation experience is required.
  • Comfortable with heights.
  • Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching required.
