The primary objective of this role is to guarantee that our clients receive top-tier service while enhancing efficiency and productivity, all while adhering to the regulations governing pond and lake treatment. This position is crucial for the effective and profitable delivery of services by Dragonfly Pond Works.


Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Regional Manager.
  • Oversee the upkeep of post-construction stormwater systems.
  • Lead and manage a maintenance crew.
  • Identify and manage invasive plant species.
  • Conduct visual inspections of stormwater infrastructure.
  • Perform mowing and string trimming tasks at various sites.
  • Enhance the visual appeal of maintenance sites.
  • Carry out minor repairs to ensure compliance.
  • Implement safety training programs for field personnel.
  • Handle various administrative responsibilities.
  • Be prepared for overnight travel within and to adjacent states, which is required 90% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Must obtain a Pesticide Applicator License within 90 days of employment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in landscaping and mowing.
  • Experience in relevant fields such as fisheries, wildlife management, conservation, ecology, biology, environmental sciences, or forestry is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt and improvise in response to changing conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Must be able to swim.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Capability to drive long distances and operate a trailer, ventrac mower, string trimmers, and perform light mechanical tasks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse audiences, including the Operations Team, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Basic math skills for calculating appropriate product application levels.
