Diesel Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a Diesel Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our fleet.

Job Functions:
  • Troubleshoot and Repair: Identify and fix light mechanical issues with wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components.
  • Assist Customers: Provide roadside services and support to customers, ensuring their satisfaction and safety.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance services to prevent mechanical issues and ensure our fleet is running smoothly.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds, and work in close quarters with varying temperatures.
  • Safety First: Prioritize customer safety and satisfaction, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Rotating Schedule: Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night shifts as needed.
  • Medical Card: Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love's).
