Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues on diesel engines, as well as providing preventative maintenance services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues on diesel engines, including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components.
  • Assist customers with roadside services, including tire changes, fuel delivery, and other emergency repairs.
  • Provide preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers and drivers from all over the country.
  • Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds, and work in close quarters.
  • Ability to work in various temperatures and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Always put the safety and satisfaction of customers first, complying with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
  • Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love's).
