Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a per diem Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and rehabilitating patients of all ages with communication and oral-pharyngeal disorders. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping patients achieve optimal communication and swallowing abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients with communication and oral-pharyngeal disorders to identify areas of need and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment programs to improve patients' communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Current license to practice speech/language pathology in the state of Texas.
  • Current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • One year of experience in speech language pathology, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
