Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist II-Acute Care-Hematology-Oncology/Pulmonology Specialist

Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist II to join our team in Dallas, Texas. As a Speech Language Pathologist II, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist II will be responsible for planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Speech Language Pathology. This will involve collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure seamless care and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct Speech Language Pathology services to patients in accordance with standards of practice.
  • Select reliable and valid assessment tools relevant to diagnosis, functional limitation, and patient history.
  • Implement appropriate therapeutic interventions and report on patient progress through written documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, family, and other members of the healthcare team relative to patient treatment and progress.
  • Assist in developing, interpreting, and reviewing policies and procedures of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department.
  • Participate in the department's quality assessment and improvement strategies.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of previous Speech Language Pathology experience required.
  • Two years of acute care experience and one year of pediatric experience preferred OR two years of pediatric experience and one year of acute care experience preferred.
  • Acute care experience within a hospital setting preferred.
  • Experience within Hematology-Oncology and/or Pulmonology preferred.
