Position Overview: We are seeking a Chief Operations Officer to oversee our manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely product delivery while adhering to established quality standards and optimizing production costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and propose new machinery and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Develop and implement the annual business strategy.
  • Create long-term business plans (spanning two to five years) that encompass strategies, production processes, capacity planning, systems, personnel, and budget management.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality systems, company policies, and regulatory requirements in all production and shipping procedures.
  • Communicate essential procedures to all personnel effectively.
  • Stay informed about advancements in machinery and production processes.
  • Provide regular updates to sales administration regarding lead times and the status of new orders.
  • Adjust production schedules based on revised sales forecasts and communicate the implications.
  • Gather and analyze company reports to extract valuable insights for manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date materials specifications.
  • Foster an environment of manufacturing excellence, reliability, and quality for all visitors.
  • Undertake special projects and tasks as required to achieve company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering is required.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in fragrance/flavor production, with at least five years in a managerial role.

Personal Attributes:

  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Windows software.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems, compounding technologies, and production equipment, including auto-compounding units and conveyor systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of sales and marketing dynamics.
