Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled and dedicated Class A CDL Hazmat Truck Operator to become a vital member of our Technical Services team.

This role involves responsibilities related to the collection of hazardous materials from client sites and transporting them to designated Clean Harbors facilities or other approved disposal locations, often requiring multiple stops throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a manual transmission vehicle, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Conduct proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, adhering to weight limits and company equipment usage guidelines.
  • Ensure vehicles are correctly placarded in accordance with Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, including worksheets, timecards, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection records.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety regulations, DOT guidelines, and Hazardous Materials/Waste (HAZMAT) compliance.
  • Adhere to the scheduled routes for pickups and drop-offs, which may require some overnight travel.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using technology, including mobile devices, for operational tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or willingness to secure upon hire).
  • Experience operating van trailers and tankers is preferred.
  • Forklift experience is a plus, though training will be provided.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing safety.
