Key Responsibilities- Operate a Variety of Trucks and Trailers: Safely operate a range of trucks and trailers, including flatbed trailers, bulk pneumatic trailers, and dump trucks.
- Maintain Accurate Driver Logs: Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs as required by state and DOT regulations.
- Perform Daily Equipment Inspections: Conduct daily inspections of all equipment, including fluid levels, tire wear and pressure, and other critical systems.
- Comply with DOT Regulations: Ensure compliance with all DOT rules and regulations, including hours of service and safety protocols.
- Perform Emergency Roadside Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs, including changing tires, installing chains, and replacing light bulbs.
- Secure Cargo: Appropriately use blocks, straps, and other materials to secure cargo prior to transit.
- Load and Unload Vehicles: Operate a variety of equipment to load and unload vehicles, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain a Clean Vehicle: Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained, both inside and out.
- Valid CDL: Possess a valid CDL and meet all state and company requirements.
- Clean Driving Record: Maintain a clean driving record, with no history of accidents or citations.
- Experience: Have at least 2 years of industrial truck driving experience, with a strong understanding of pneumatics and manual transmission operation.
- Endorsements: Possess a Doubles Endorsement or be able to obtain one.
