Position OverviewThe role involves significant engagement in the design, enhancement, and evaluation of semiconductor products and processes. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues with existing products, implementing modifications, and improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in the design and development of semiconductor processing techniques and products.
- Identify and troubleshoot problems with current processes or products, implementing necessary modifications.
- Compile and assess design and testing data to inform product development.
- Utilize statistical methods, including Design of Experiments and Statistical Process Control, to enhance process development.
- Contribute to technical discussions and support various engineering activities.
- Document and support the testing of products, systems, or subsystems.
- Employ computer-aided engineering tools to facilitate design and analysis tasks.
- Work independently while collaborating with team members and supervisors.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and status.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while adhering to technical specifications.
- Review and interpret customer requirements to develop optimal design solutions, considering cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate and specify supplier components and services.
- Support design initiatives focused on cost efficiency and manufacturability.
- Develop prototypes to mitigate key development risks as directed.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, both in writing and verbally.
- Participate in the preparation of proposals for less complex projects.
- Promote and uphold the mission, values, and culture of Leonardo DRS.
- Attend relevant engineering and business meetings.
- Basic technical expertise and knowledge in the relevant application domain.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
