Job Title: Maintenance Repairman B-Welder

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Repairman B-Welder to join our team at ASARCO LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on various equipment, including shovels, drills, fleet trucks, and shop construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on equipment, including welding, cutting, and fabricating metal components.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Operate various hand and power tools, including forklifts, overhead cranes, and boom trucks.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical school or one to two years of related experience and/or state-approved apprenticeship preferred.
  • Boilermaker/Welder (Vertical and Overhead Welding) Certification required.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment, with varying temperatures and physical demands.
