The Maintenance Repairman B-Welder will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on various equipment and machinery, including Shovels and Drills, Fleet trucks, and Shop construction. The ideal candidate will have experience in boilermaker/welding tasks and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on Shovels and Drills, Fleet trucks, and Shop construction
  • Demonstrate competence in analysis of welding procedures and materials
  • Capable of welding from all positions and identifying materials for welding
  • Design, layout, and fabricate metal repairs and analyze metal failures
  • Operate miscellaneous hand and power tools, measuring tools, and shop support equipment
  • Able to follow instructions and direction with minimal supervision
  • Understand and practice all safety procedures for work environment
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Technical School or one to two years related experience and/or state-approved apprenticeship
  • Boilermaker/Welder (Vertical and Overhead Welding) Certification
