We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at D&W Fine Pack. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring that production is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coach a team of production staff to ensure that production is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Plan, execute, and assign work to ensure that production targets are met.
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure that production is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct training sessions for new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for existing staff.
- Monitor and report on production data, including production results, downtime, scrap, and staffing.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance quality.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that production is carried out in a seamless and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement standard work procedures to ensure consistency and quality in production.
- Manage employee performance, including setting goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues.
- Ensure that all production staff are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience as a Production Supervisor is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of the plastics industry processes and equipment, specifically extrusion and thermoforming, is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make good decisions in a high-pressure situation.
