Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facility Technician to join our team at Extang Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, dusting, and mopping floors, as well as cleaning bathrooms, breakrooms, and other common areas.
  • Operate sit-down forklifts to transport materials and equipment, and assist with the disposal of waste and recyclables.
  • Determine the type of chemicals and equipment needed for specific cleaning tasks, and ensure that all necessary supplies are stocked and available.
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of internal company events, and perform routine maintenance on housekeeping equipment.
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory of cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Ensure that windows are washed, and carpets are vacuumed, and remove trash and debris from entrances and exits to buildings, as well as offices and cubicles.
  • Perform weekly outside sweeps to remove trash and debris, and analyze the facility for any issues or concerns.
  • May perform monthly fire extinguisher evaluations, and identify cleaning problems and determine appropriate remedies.
  • Create and maintain a daily and weekly cleaning schedule for facility cleaning.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • 6 months of related experience required.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.

Working Conditions:

  • This position is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Activities: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, and repetitive motions.
  • Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, expansive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices, and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
