Position Summary:
The Operations Team Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing daily activities related to labor management, inbound and outbound logistics, product organization, and customer interactions. This position involves:
  • Scheduling labor and optimizing space utilization.
  • Managing equipment and manpower effectively.
  • Supervising the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of products in alignment with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Operations Team Leader, you will:
  • Conduct regular meetings to discuss work activities and promote continuous improvement.
  • Keep management and clients informed about significant operational issues.
  • Develop and implement systems for safe and efficient operations.
  • Ensure productivity and service goals are met while adhering to client agreements.
  • Identify and suggest cost-saving measures for improved efficiency.
  • Meet client-specific KPIs and comply with quality standards.
  • Utilize effective communication and motivational techniques to lead your team.
  • Support Human Resources in hiring, training, and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or distribution.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment (MHE).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

The work environment is typically low to moderate in noise, with occasional exposure to standard warehouse conditions.
