About the Role

ECPI University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Financial Assistance Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Student Support and Reentry advising teams, you will play a vital role in facilitating outstanding service to returning students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Student Support and Reentry advising teams to provide exceptional support to re-entering students.
  • Ensure accurate and timely packaging of assigned re-entering students.
  • Discuss payment plan options, balances, and holds with students and parents in a professional and timely manner.
  • Create financial plans for re-entering students and ensure student files are complete and accurate.
  • Utilize reports to review students' progress, analyze urgent matters, and work with your director to prioritize tasks.
  • Evaluate unusual or mitigating circumstance documentation and exercise judgment to make adjustments or revisions to costs, contribution, and need or dependency status as exceptions to the prescribed process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of related Financial Aid experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving approach to work.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to multi-task, work independently, and make decisions based on guidelines.
  • Strong basic computer software (MS Office) skills and exposure to more concentrated financial aid software (Campus Vue/Campus Nexus preferred).
