About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for operating diagnostic fluoroscopy and various types of cardiac equipment, monitoring patient vitals, and assisting the physician during procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiographic fluoroscopy equipment to obtain diagnostic images of coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease.
  • Conduct hemodynamic monitoring of patients during procedures and report values to the performing physician.
  • Monitor delivery of radiation dose to patients to achieve safe delivery with minimal exposure to staff.
  • Transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images in picture archiving and communicating systems (PACS).
  • Perform quality control standards by using the optimum diagnostic imaging and performing regular maintenance of fluoroscopy equipment.
  • Assist the team in patient setup and prep before procedures and take down/clean up post-procedure using safe patient transfer and positioning techniques.
  • Document in procedure logs to reflect accurate procedure and interventions to ensure accurate billing and charge capture.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in radiologic sciences.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice AND registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in radiologic sciences.
  • 2 years of experience as an allied health professional.
