Position Title: Hospitality Beverage Server

Objective:

To deliver exceptional beverage and food service in a welcoming, courteous, and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the service station is properly set up and maintained for cleanliness before, during, and after shifts.

2. Welcome guests promptly and courteously, providing information on specials, promotions, and snack options.

3. Accurately take orders and be knowledgeable about all available drinks, including premium brands and craft beers.

4. Serve appropriate snacks and garnishes with beverages.

5. Enter orders into the point of sale system efficiently to notify the bartender of requests.

6. Maintain cleanliness of guest tables and assist in the upkeep of the bar area.

7. Refill beverages as requested and check in with guests to ensure their satisfaction.

8. Present checks to guests promptly, expressing gratitude and inviting them to return.

9. Complete all assigned side work and adhere to daily checklists.

10. Conduct general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as directed by management to comply with health standards.

11. Keep the work area clean and organized.

12. Perform additional duties as assigned, including special requests from guests.

13. Recommend drink pairings with menu items and educate guests about beverage options.

14. Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages to ensure legal compliance.

Qualifications:

1. Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service, particularly alcoholic beverages.

2. Familiarity with appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu offerings.

3. Ability to read and understand menus and promotions, and communicate effectively in English.

4. Capacity to memorize and promote a variety of menu items.

5. Ability to transport trays weighing up to 40 lbs. through crowded areas consistently throughout shifts.

6. Compliance with all liquor regulations regarding service to minors and intoxicated individuals.

7. Maintain a positive demeanor throughout shifts.

8. Work collaboratively as part of a team.

9. Stay motivated during both busy and slow periods.

10. Responsible for cash handling and self-banking, requiring accurate counting of change.

11. Ability to operate a keyboard and learn point of sale procedures for order processing.

12. No prior experience is necessary.

13. Ability to obtain any required licenses or certifications; TIPS or similar certification preferred.

14. Required to memorize all table numbers.
