Position Overview

We are in search of a CDL Driver for our operations.

If you enjoy working outdoors, driving, delivering, and managing agricultural products while building meaningful connections with farmers, GreenPoint Ag may be the right fit for you.

This role promotes a vibrant culture for those eager to engage with growers.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely pick up and deliver products within a designated industrial area using commercial vehicles that require a CDL license.

- Obtain and maintain the appropriate DOT commercial driver’s license (CDL) and necessary certifications, ensuring compliance with training requirements and annual updates.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment before and after use to ensure safe operation and adherence to DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection protocols.
- Ensure the vehicle is equipped with the necessary emergency and safety equipment before driving.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, shipping documents, and permits in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with customers, responding effectively to their service needs.
- Clean and maintain the vehicle to uphold a positive image for customers and the public.

When not driving, assist warehouse and plant personnel with various tasks as directed by the supervisor, which may include order fulfillment, inventory management, and general housekeeping.


Qualifications

- CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with HAZMAT endorsement or willingness to obtain the endorsement within a specified timeframe.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.

Skills and Abilities

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficient in operating all necessary equipment for the role.
- Strong communication skills to interact with associates and customers effectively.
- Capable of reading, counting, and writing to accurately complete all documentation, including interpreting product labels and safety data sheets.
- Ability to perform calculations related to product quantities and weight measurements.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Work Environment

Employees may be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, adverse weather conditions, and extreme temperatures associated with outdoor and warehouse environments.

Physical Demands

The physical demands outlined here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

Physical capability to sit and/or stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of products and fixtures throughout the facility, which includes lifting and performing all listed functions.

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and infrequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.


Travel Requirements

Travel associated with this position typically involves day trips driving commercial vehicles to and from pickup and drop-off locations. Overnight travel is very rare.
