KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Utilize your IT expertise to devise and execute strategic sourcing plans for various categories of IT expenditures across multiple business divisions. Enhance business value and minimize procurement risks through competitive bidding, negotiation of terms, and thorough analysis of market data and trends. Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including legal teams and leadership, to drive efficiencies and manage costs.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Utilize IT knowledge to lead negotiations with both new and existing vendors, ensuring risk mitigation and value enhancement for internal stakeholders. (25%)
  • Formulate sourcing strategies and spearhead significant sourcing initiatives. Engage in special projects as needed, while being accountable for category purchases. (20%)
  • Direct personnel both within and outside the Supply department to meet objectives across related categories and sourcing initiatives. Prioritize competing demands and delegate tasks accordingly. (20%)
  • Serve as the primary contact for resolving recurring supplier issues, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and business partners. Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and expectations. (15%)
  • Oversee category management and governance for associated purchases, including IT technology and cybersecurity, while conducting spend and risk analysis. (10%)
  • Provide guidance to contract administrators and procurement specialists within assigned categories. (5%)
  • Identify and implement best practices in sourcing and category management, while tracking market trends in IT technologies. (5%)

JOB SCOPE

Manage sourcing activities for technical or complex materials and services, exercising independent decision-making in daily operations. Oversee material or service categories across business units, considering total lifecycle costs, organizational needs, and risk profiles.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or a related field with 4-7 years of relevant experience, or 6-9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT category sourcing (software, hardware, professional services, telecom) or technical experience in these areas.
  • Proven project and change management skills.
  • Strong understanding of category and supply management principles.
  • Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
  • Experience in cross-functional team management and facilitation.
  • Proficient in data analysis and MS Office applications.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with the ability to hold suppliers accountable.
  • Experience in conflict resolution.
  • Willingness to travel as required across various locations.
