We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Oncology Physician Assistant to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals with melanoma and kidney cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage patient care in collaboration with attending physicians.
- Conduct thorough medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with institutional and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide education and support.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional development through ongoing education and training.
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Active certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Connecticut.
- Experience in medical oncology or a related field is preferred.
