Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension Borgess in Kalamazoo, MI. As a key member of our cardiovascular and surgical specialties department, you will provide high-quality patient care while working collaboratively with our healthcare team.
About the Role
This is a full-time position requiring 36 hours per week, with day shifts from 7am to 7:30pm. Weekends and holidays will be rotated according to unit needs. Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care within Borgess Medical Center, adhering to the American Nurses Association's Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice and Professional Performance.
- Work collaboratively with patients and their families to identify mutual goals based on the nursing assessment and diagnosis.
- Diagnose, treat, and evaluate human responses to actual or potential health problems/needs.
- Evaluate outcomes of the nursing plan of care and revise as necessary.
- Assess, detect, monitor, and attempt to prevent complications associated with health situations or treatment plans.
- Notify physicians of patient conditions and response to nursing interventions appropriately.
- Ensure patients' pain is assessed, treated, reassessed, documented, and evaluated.
- Adhere to policies and procedures for Pain Management.
- Delegate tasks to other licensed and unlicensed care providers based on clinical nursing judgment and skill of the care provider.
Requirements
- Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse obtained within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education:
- The Registered Nurse must have an Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or RN Diploma at start date. A Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Compensation
The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 to $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Please note that actual compensation may vary based on individual circumstances.
