M/I Homes is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven New Home Sales Consultant to join our team. As a New Home Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for selling new homes to potential buyers by demonstrating product features, designs, and benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize sales and marketing techniques, company guidelines, and knowledge of assigned communities to achieve division and company goals.
  • Effectively manage sales generation by utilizing corporate marketing materials, model homes, local resources, and realtor relationships.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for home buyers from initial meeting through home closing.
  • Tour and demonstrate model homes to potential buyers.
  • Generate excitement by effectively identifying needs of potential home buyers and matching related solutions.
  • Build confidence with potential home buyers by selling features and benefits of M/I Homes product and experience.
  • Prospect and visit realtors to build relationships and generate leads.
  • Participate in division meetings to stay informed and aligned with company goals.
  • Maintain buyer interest by effectively using listening and negotiating skills when confronted with objections, skepticism, conflict, etc.
  • Guarantee a realistic, but satisfactory home building experience for the home buyer by proactively communicating throughout the home building process.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in specialized training from a two-year college or technical school combined with at least one year of relevant course study including seminars and workshops in sales and marketing techniques.
  • One to five years of related experience and/or training; thorough knowledge of housing market in geographical locations.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and evaluate given information relative to selling techniques and potential homebuyer issues.
  • Self-motivated with persuasive, enthusiastic, and customer-service oriented personality and outstanding negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for high interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of the organization.
