Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Waste Connections. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance services on our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services on vehicles and equipment.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software to document parts usage and repair times.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
Requirements
  • Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull objects over 50 pounds.
