We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Pool Operator to join our team at the Georgia Institute of Technology. As a key member of our Campus Recreation Complex, you will be responsible for maintaining the pristine condition and operation of our pool facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain water quality to meet and exceed health and safety standards, performing regular chemical checks and balance adjustments as needed.
  • Operate and oversee the aquatic facility's pool filtration systems, pumps, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the pool area, equipment, and safety devices to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Implement cleaning schedules for the pool, deck, and related facilities to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Manage inventory of pool chemicals and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for uninterrupted operation.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and refine facility procedures and standards.
  • Train staff on pool maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Prepare reports on pool usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents.
  • Make repairs as necessary to pool-related equipment, including the pool deck.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma
  • Five to six years of job-related experience
  • Certified Pool Operator certification
  • CPR - First Aid - Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification (within 60 days of employment)
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $21.20-$28.83/hourly and a dynamic work environment. This is a non-supervisory position with no financial responsibilities. The role involves mostly indoor work and exposure to chemicals, but we provide a safe and supportive environment for our employees.
