Job Title: Electronics Engineering Technician Lead

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a leading provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineering Technician Lead to join our team in Mesquite, TX.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and creative leader to implement, test, troubleshoot, and improve electronic automation and controls systems in manufacturing/production/operations processes to increase production quality, efficiency, and volume.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supports the engineering design and development of electrical control and automation systems and devices.
  • Provides setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical control systems and prototypes.
  • Assists with testing of systems, devices, and instruments.
  • Documents testing procedures, and measures and records performance results following established methods.
  • Maintains the inventory of supplies and tools used for testing and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 5-7 years' experience, or, Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education and/or Experience.
  • Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.
  • Familiar with OSHA Safety Standards and Regulations.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Hydraulic Systems and Schematics.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Siemens PLCs and Drives.
  • Basic Computer and Report Writing Skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with start-ups, such as project planning, and establishing business processes, management systems, and work instructions.
Work Environment:

This position will be located at the new GD-OTS facility in Mesquite, TX. The employee will be required to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
