A prominent firm in the biotechnology sector is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to enhance their financial operations and drive cost-effective strategies. Below are the key qualifications and responsibilities associated with this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Year-to-Date (YTD) analysis of General Ledger accounts
- Prepare and record various journal entries
- Investigate and rectify account discrepancies
- Reconcile and balance accounts within the general ledger
- Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Maintain the chart of accounts for the general ledger
- Support the evaluation of internal control systems
- Post monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals to the General Ledger
- Analyze financial budgets
- Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Facilitate financial and operational audits
- Maintain documentation in compliance with company policies and GAAP
- Assist with various projects as required
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- At least 4 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- CPA/CA certification is advantageous
- Familiarity with NetSuite or other large ERP systems
- Proficient in Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and Macros
