Purdue University is seeking a dedicated Soil Science Laboratory Education Coordinator to join our team, focusing on enhancing the educational experience of undergraduate students through effective laboratory practices in soil science.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, revising, and implementing curricular resources and laboratory protocols for all agronomy-related courses, whether in-person or online.
- Collaborating with faculty to establish clear learning objectives and developing assessments to evaluate student understanding.
- Identifying innovative topics and methodologies for inclusion in laboratory instruction.
- Preparing necessary reagents, instruments, and equipment to facilitate student learning in laboratory settings.
- Monitoring and addressing laboratory safety issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Contributing to agronomy research initiatives and enhancing the educational offerings of the department.
A Master's degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline is required, along with a minimum of four years of relevant practical experience. This experience may be acquired through graduate studies, internships, co-op programs, or professional roles.
