This is a hybrid role that requires working with clients in both in-home and office settings. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate therapist to join our team at The Thrive Network.
Job Duties- Provide direct service to children, adolescents, and families, identifying and intervening with the needs of abused and neglected individuals.
- Conduct intake and assessment, providing complete and accurate information necessary for treatment and billing.
- Design and implement treatment plans that promote healthy attachment, self-regulation, independence, impulse-control, decision-making skills, and social responsibility/empathy.
- Collaborate with other team members, including education, care managers, behavioral assistants, clinicians, and physicians, to support clients.
- Provide telephone counseling for emergencies during and outside of office hours.
- Attend monthly staff meetings to stay informed and contribute to team discussions.
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- Valid, current NJ license (LCSW, LPC, LSW, LMFT, LAC).
- Two or more years of experience in counseling children.
- Three or more years of experience in mental health.
- Experience in providing treatment to individuals with serious emotional problems.
- Ability to effectively use the DSM.
- Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to make sound clinical judgments and follow complex directions.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Understanding of child development and individual and family functioning.
- Experience in providing child abuse treatment.
- Background and experience in expressive/art therapy, and/or play therapy.
- Good computer skills and familiarity with smartphone applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
- Knowledge and sensitivity to cultural differences.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as assessments and procedure manuals.
- Must consent to and pass a criminal background check.
- Must comply with all HIPAA laws related to Protected Health Information.
- Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and a self-starter.
- Must be creative, enthusiastic, and a team player.
